A passably good food writer

Well, I was lucky enough to get nominated for a food writing award this year. AAN, the Association of Alternative Newsweeklies, a group comprised of weekly newspapers from across Canada and the United States, holds annual awards for all aspects of newspaper design and journalism. The winners were announced today. True to the Passable credo I didn’t win first place, but I did receive an honourable mention for three articles that appeared in Halifax’s newsweekly, The Coast: A Fire in the Bear’s Den, Tears for Beers and Offally Good.
